Welcome to a brand new month, and we all know what that means: time to check for the results of last month's census! In November, the census wanted to know how often people viewed SuperPhillip Central. Such an inquisitive helper, the Census is!
Lots of first-timers clocked in and gave their vote. I wonder how many of these will become future regulars! Don't worry though. I won't hold you to anything! We had a three-way tie for second place with "daily", "every now and then", and "not too terribly much" each with nine votes apiece.
That was November's question, so let's see what the December census wants to know.
The holiday season is almost upon us. Perhaps this is the only time of year where you can ask for a new gaming console and not be laughed out of the room! December's Central City Census is all about game consoles as gifts. Do you think you'll be getting a game console for the holidays?

SuperPhillip's Favorite VGMs - December to Remember Edition
It's a new month, and today I woke up to a fresh blanket of snow. Why not use this as an excuse to play some mellow, sad, somber, and special themes and pieces this Monday? That's exactly what I'm going to do. This week we have music from The Legend of Zelda, Final Fantasy VIII, Viva Piñata, and more. Sit back, relax, and enjoy.
This is the second of three unique songs composed by Yoko Kanno for Cowboy Bebop's one and only title on the Playstation 2 (JPN-only). This is a very haunting, chilling, and depressing lyrical song named Pearls. The sax's solo is extremely powerful, rough, and satisfying.
This track plays during nighttime in the garden/piñata simulation (a heavily-saturated game genre obviously), Viva Piñata. The piano melody is just incredibly relaxing and beautiful. It's a soothing as well as an emotionally charged tune... and it comes from a piñata game!
This is yet another track from the fantastic Fithos Lusec Wecos Vinosec arranged album of orchestrated Final Fantasy VIII music. It's a moving, peaceful, majestic track for Fisherman's Horizon. The vocalization at the end really got to me when I originally heard it-- even without having too much invested in the actual game.
Any self-proclaimed Zelda fan should know this theme which has appeared in several titles, it's "Zelda's Lullaby". The Hyrule Symphony soundtrack, an arranged collection of orchestrated Ocarina of Time music, titles this stirring rendition, "Princess Zelda".
We can conclude our series of five sad, somber, soothing, and/or special songs with this gem from Super Mario RPG, "Goodbye, Geno". As you can expect, this song plays as a final farewell to Geno the wooden doll. Hope you enjoyed this series of VGM volumes!
Direct Linkage:
Pearls
Night 3
Fisherman's Horizon
Princess Zelda
Goodbye, Geno
