SPC's Favorite VGMs - Tax Day 2013 Edition

No! Don't go away just because it says Tax Day! Yes, we know that Tax Day for those in the United States is not the most exciting day, but SPC's Favorite VGMs are here to make the day a little bit more bearable and interesting. We've got awesome tunes from Sonic Adventure, Mario Kart 7, and Wild ARMS: Alter Code F for your listening enjoyment this fine Monday. ...You did file your taxes, right?

v351. Sonic Adventure (DC) - Azure Blue World ...for Emerald Coast

Can you believe we've gone 350 VGM volumes without any music from the original Sonic Adventure? That has been rectified with Azure Blue World, the summer-tastic song from Emerald Coast's first section. My favorite section of this rockin' tune starts at 2:32 and ends at 3:01. Rock on, Sonic and the gang!

v352. Dragon Ball: Final Bout (PS1) - Mon Hikaru Potara! - Techno House Version

Dragon Ball: Final Bout originally released in North America before the Dragon Ball GT cartoon came out in this part of the world. That is the version of the game I own. The re-release was named Dragon Ball GT: Final Bout. Regardless of the version you got, you received a happy helping of sensational BGM music to go along with your climactic battles.

v353. Mega Man 7 (SNES) - Forgotten Factory (Junk Man's Stage)

One of the best tracks from Mega Man 7, other than Wily Stage 1, is Junk Man's Stage. The stage itself is set in a factory where miles upon miles of scrap and other junk can be seen. The Robot Master himself is made up of recycled robotic parts and appliances. I give props to Dr. Wily for looking after the environment by recycling.

v354. Mario Kart 7 (3DS) - Rainbow Road

The musical mastermind behind my favorite Mario Kart soundtrack in Mario Kart 64, Kenta Nagata, returned to co-write the music for the latest in the Mario Kart franchise. Mario Kart 7's Rainbow Road has many melodic phrases from the N64 version of the song. What you get is a fantastic rendition that is both familiar and new simultaneously.

v355. Wild ARMS: Alter Code F (PS2) - Filgaia ~ Overworld Theme #1

Michiko Naruke remixed many of her classic tracks from the original Wild ARMS for the remake, Wild ARMS: Alter Code F on the PlayStation 2. This version of the first overworld theme gives off that Old West gung-ho feeling with its acoustic guitar, brass, and choir.
